Sarah has been tattooing since 1996, and started in North Carolina tattooing with the help of Tom Blackmar at Choice Peach in Carrboro. From there she spent 3 years at Tattoo Asylum, where she gained a good clientele and expanded her knowledge of tattooing as a medium. Her fine art degree, which she completed in the UK in 1993, has always given her a good approach to any medium, and she feels that this has expanded her awareness of the potential with tattooing, along with the ongoing respect she has for past tattooists, and the art of tattooing.

As well as tattooing, Sarah regularly paints and is currently in a exhibition based in Chapel Hill, NC with 3 other artists, who all work in a style related to the art of tattooing. Aside from that, she and her partner David Tollefson make custom furniture, and wood carvings which they sell in stores, and also deal directly with customers who would prefer a unique design.

For now, Sarah has decided to travel for a year or so, tattooing out of many shops across the country, and participate in various tattoo conventions that are held throughout the year. She may be seen at Pennsylvania "inking in the Valley", Florida's all women's show, Charlotte,s Aces and Eights convention, Greensboro's Pirate Production convention, and possibly Pittsburg's upcoming convention in October, where she will be working alongside Chuck Eldridge who runs the Tattoo Archives in San Fransisco. She is still available for work, and if you would like to make an appointment with her, she is available at the phone number #919 824 7288, or you can contact her via email at sailorjerry@mindspring.com

If you would like to see more of Sarah's work, she has been interviewed by Tattoo Revue (issue #86) and has some of her work published in various tattoo publications throughout America. Please feel free to get in touch.
